As of October 2026, Home Depot’s professional gutter-installation page lists these planning ranges:
| Material | Published total for 200 ft. |
|---|---|
| Vinyl (PVC) | $1,000–$1,800 |
| Seamless aluminum | $2,000–$3,600 |
| Galvanized steel | $2,400–$4,400 |
| Copper | $6,000–$11,000 |
For seamless aluminum, that published 200-foot range is roughly $10–$18 per linear foot.
How does that compare with Gutters Only?
For a normal Long Island 5-inch seamless aluminum system, Gutters Only uses roughly $12–$15/LF as a planning range, with the actual quote adjusted for the property and scope.
Why a retailer price and a local contractor price may differ
Retail installation programs and local gutter contractors may package the work differently. One quote may include removal, larger downspouts or fascia repairs while another may list those separately. The contractor doing the measurement may also make different sizing recommendations based on roof pitch, valleys and access.
What 200 feet means in real life
Two hundred linear feet is enough gutter for many average-size homes, but the actual footage should be measured at the roof edge rather than estimated from interior square footage. Downspout footage, number of corners and multi-story access can affect the installed price even when two homes have the same gutter length.
